How the database section is run Empty
PostSubject: How the database section is run   How the database section is run Icon_minitimeFri Oct 24, 2008 4:01 pm

The database section of the forum is meant to be an archive of sorts. While the section before this one is where people can just post creations when they want to, the database is ran differently.

There will be different topics, all locked, so only admins, moderators and database managers can access them. This doesn't mean that members cannot contribute. Anytime a member posts something in "The Collective Archive" section, it will be archived here. The original post will be linked too, along with character info. The reason I'm doing this is because it is to narrow down searches and it allows for people who are looking for characters to not have to wave through a bunch of topics.

Also, known rare or offline creations will be posted here as well. You can use Mugen Infantry as a guide, since their database is full of offline creations and a little searching thorugh google, esnips, and 4shared can find these creations easily.

To all mods and managers who are posting content:

If you are posting an entry in the database, an entry should look like this.

Entry # 1

Name of creation
Author of creation
Whether its online or offline
A picture (Not required, but encouraged)
Description
Link (DO NOT USE SENDSPACE, MEGAUPLOAD OR FILEDEN! USE MEDIAFIRE, ESNIPS OR 4SHARED WHEN YOU ARE UPLOADING SOMETHING!)

The section before, simply titled "The Collective Archive" is where you may post whatever you like. After review of the content posted, it will be added to the Database, along with giving credit to the member who uploaded it.
